Joel Embiid trolls LeBron James after 76ers beat Cavs

Shortly after the Cleveland Cavaliers traded Dion Waiters as part of a three-team deal that brought them JR Smith and Iman Shumpert from the New York Knicks, they suffered one of their most embarrassing losses of the season. And Joel Embiid wasn’t about to let the opportunity for a good tweet slip away.

The Cavs, who, in their defense, were playing without LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, lost to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers are one of three NBA teams who have just five wins as we near the halfway point in the season. Take it away, Joel.

If you don’t know the backstory, that was Embiid’s way of taking a light-hearted swipe at LeBron. Embiid, who has not played this season because of an injury, is one of the funniest athletes to follow on Twitter. When LeBron was a free agent last summer, the former Kansas star sent this series of tweets in an attempt to “convince” James to sign with the lowly Sixers.

The Cavs have struggled to find consistency this season and don’t look like a championship contender — at least at the moment. I’m sure LeBron regrets not signing with Philly.
