LeBron James gives great interview about Matthew Dellavedova (Video)
A big reason why LeBron James is such a successful basketball player is because of how unselfish he is as a teammate. Not only does he try to set up his teammates for better shots and plays on the court, but he also pumps them up to the media and gets to know them individually.
Case in point: his interview with ESPN’s Lisa Salters after the Cavaliers clinched their series with the Bulls with a 94-73 win in Game 6 where he talked about Matthew Dellavedova.
Dellavedova led the Cavs with 19 points as he filled in for an injured Kyrie Irving. After the win, James, who missed a triple-double by a rebound, was asked to “tell the world” who Dellavedova is.
James proceeded to go through Delly’s life history and talked about being “blessed” to have him as a teammate. As our friends on Twitter pointed out, how many other superstars would give (and know) that much detailed info about a teammate who’s just a role player? It’s just another example of what makes James such a great teammate.
