Metta World Peace working out with Lakers, expected to sign with them
Metta World Peace appears to be on his way back to joining the Lakers.
The free agent forward has been working out at the Lakers’ facility this summer. He continued working out with the team’s players this week, and Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that World Peace is expected to sign a one-year deal with the team later this month.
The LA Daily News’ Mark Medina reports the same:
I'm told Metta has trained at Lakers' facility regularly since July. B. Scott has noted Metta worked out at facility earlier this year too

I'm told from a league source close to Metta World Peace that there's confidence a deal with the Lakers will happen

Metta spent the past year abroad after being waived by the Knicks in 2014. He played in China and then most recently in Italy.
World Peace played for the Lakers from 2009-2013 and won a championship with the team, even making a critical 3-pointer that helped them hoist the trophy. The Lakers need more depth at the small forward position and reportedly believe World Peace will help bring in some toughness to the squad.
If World Peace does end up back with the Lakers, we’re just hoping he’ll be rocking this sweet panda head shoes.
