Miami Heat Players Reportedly Partied at Club LIV with Dallas Mavericks

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban rented out Club LIV in Miami Beach to celebrate his team winning the NBA championship. We posted pictures and videos from their night out, including Dirk partying and Lil Wayne and Mark Cuban holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy. One aspect of the celebration that we (and nearly everyone else) missed was that some Miami Heat players reportedly were in attendance.

Our buddy Marcas Grant of New Era Radio tipped us off in our Facebook group (which you should join if you’re not already in it) to the report. There was some buzz on twitter that a few Heat players were at Club LIV Sunday night. Names were named, but since there is no concrete confirmation I won’t list them.

Earl K. Sneed, the Mavericks reporter for Mavs.com, confirmed what Jemele Hill heard on 790 the Ticket in Miami. He wouldn’t name who was there, but he confirmed players were there. One player who supposedly was at Club LIV is a former Dallas player, so that’s somewhat understandable, but it’s still not the time or place to celebrate with the enemy. Maybe you can be happy for your former teammates, but you shouldn’t join them in celebration.

This report just goes along with a lot of what people have thought was wrong with the Heat — that they didn’t play hard enough, that they were too Hollywood, that they were more about celebrations than anything else. I won’t let this report speak for all the Heat players because I’m pretty darn sure LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh weren’t there, and that’s what really matters. To the guys who were, you could pretty much get rid of them as far as I’m concerned.
