Report: D’Angelo Russell thought no one would see Nick Young video

D'Angelo Russell

D’Angelo Russell is apparently one of a growing number of professional athletes who need to realize that stuff you post on social media is always going to be captured by fans. Yes, even Snapchat.

According to Bleacher Report’s Kevin Ding, Russell did not realize anyone would see the video he shared of Lakers teammate Nick Young allegedly admitting he cheated on his fiancee, Iggy Azalea.

“He thought he could post this and take it down right away and no one would ever see it or save it,” Ding said Wednesday. “He and Nick have been joking around, trying to prank each other, and this obviously went too far.”

Ding noted that both Russell and Young were surprised the video went viral. If you have not seen it, you can watch it here.

Russell just recently turned 20, so he is still young and will make a lot more mistakes during his career. But did he really think his Snapchat video would just disappear? When you have thousands of people following you on social media, stuff never goes away. Just ask the NBA player who thought he could brag about driving nearly 100 mph down the freeway and no one would notice.

Hopefully Russell does a lot of growing up after this.
