Did Jameis Winston make smoking gesture during pregame? (Video)

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston had himself a rough day in the first ever BCS Playoff game on Thursday. Did it all start with a smoking hand gesture before the game?

As Winston was making his way into the Rose Bowl before his team’s blowout loss to Oregon, he made some sort of signal with his hand. At first glance, it kind of looked like the same smoking gesture that Aaron Rodgers has used a few times to signal a change in play.

But after further examination, it looks like Jameis made a circle with his hand and kissed the inside of it.

We have no idea what that means, but I don’t think it was a smoking gesture. Given the history of stupid things that Winston has done, I’m sure everyone will assume that’s what he was doing.
