Is Snoop Dogg the new Lil’ Wayne? The rapper/entertainer has always been a USC fan and was so closely associated with the program, a report said he helped recruit running back Silas Redd to the Trojans. But now he apparently feels comfortable repping the UCLA Bruins.
UCLA football coach Jim Mora tweeted the above photo on Tuesday, along with a message talking about the “Bruin Revolution”:
When Snoop starts wearing UCLA gear you know the #BruinRevolution is in full effect. pic.twitter.com/UJ3891EVk6

Snoop seemed to be meeting with Adidas on Tuesday, which is how the picture came about. UCLA is Adidas’ flagship school on the West Coast, and Snoop shared the photo on his Instagram account. His caption was actually more about Adidas than UCLA:
“Adidas goin hard this year !!!” he wrote on Instagram.
Snoop also shared a photo of an Adidas shoe made for his alma mater, Long Beach Poly:
And here’s Snoop at the Adidas offices:
What was Snoop doing meeting with Adidas and why would he put on the UCLA gloves? There is some speculation that the photo was related to the recruitment of his son, Cordell Broadus, who is a top wide receiver prospect. Last year, the Bruins became the first program to offer the 2015 recruit. Since then, the 6-foot-3 receiver has received offers from LSU, Arizona State, Cal, Duke, Nebraska, Tennessee, USC, Washington and Oregon State.
But UCLA isn’t the only program receiving love from Snoop; the rapper also shared a photo on Instagram of Boise State gear:
What’s that all about?
