Tenors suspend Remigio Pereira for All-Star Game stunt
Canadian vocal quartet “The Tenors” issued an apology after Tuesday’s controversy at the MLB All-Star Game which led the group to suspend Remigio Pereira indefinitely.
The Tenors performed the Canadian national anthem prior to Tuesday’s All-Star Game at Petco Park in San Diego. Pereira decided to use his platform to espouse an “All Lives Matter” political message. Pereira held up a sign that read “All Lives Matter” and also changed the words to the anthem during a solo portion.

The normal lyric is “With glowing hearts we see thee rise. The True North strong and free.”
Pereira changed that to “We’re all brothers and sisters. All lives matter to the great.”
The Tenors issued an apology via Twitter and singled out Pereira for his actions. They said he was going to be suspended indefinitely.
