Brett Perriman in hospital, reportedly on life support
Former Detroit Lions and Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Brett Perriman is said to be in a fight for his life as he was hospitalized on Tuesday night.
Brett’s son Breshad, a receiver with the Baltimore Ravens, sent this tweet about his father on Tuesday night:
Prayers up for my pops! He's the real definition of hard body so I know he will be walking out the hospital like nothing happen very soon ?

Longtime Hurricanes supporter Luke Campbell said Perriman was fighting for his life.

Former ‘Cane Leon Searcy said Perriman was on life support.

CBS Miami reports that Perriman collapsed after having an issue with extremely high blood pressure.
Brett Perriman played 10 seasons in the NFL, including six with the Lions, for whom he posted two 1,000-yard seasons. His best season came in 1995 when he caught 108 passes for 1,488 yards and nine touchdowns.
His son remains optimistic about the situation:
