Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship team up to form a strong defensive backfield for the Philadelphia Eagles. They also teamed up for a humorous fashion choice on Thursday night.

DeJean and Blankenship are part of a rare group — they are both white and are defensive backs in the NFL. They are embracing the phenomenon behind their rare accomplishment and were seen walking to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa., wearing matching shirts that said “Exciting Whites” on them.

The shirts include many of the phrases often used to describe white athletes, such as “sneaky athletic,” “blue collar,” and “high motor.” Fans were loving the photos.

Blankenship is in his third season with the Eagles after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State. He entered Thursday’s game against Washington with 50 tackles and 2 interceptions on the season.

DeJean was a second-round pick by Philly out of Iowa. He had 19 tackles in 9 games entering Thursday and had made four starts.

They sure are some “exciting whites.”
