New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith suffered a broken jaw on Tuesday after a teammate punched him in the face.

Jets head coach Todd Bowles told reporters that linebacker Ikemefuna Enemkpali hit Smith after the two got into an argument in the locker room.

Geno Smith has a broken jaw resulting from a fight with IK Enemkpali this morning, Todd Bowles told reporters. Enemkpali released.

From what I was told, Smith put his finger in Enemkpali's face during an argument and that's what led to the punch.

Enemkpali has already been released, but the damage is done. Smith is reportedly expected to be out at least 6-10 weeks, which means he will not be ready for the start of the season.

And you thought the fight between a quarterback and his teammate from earlier in the week was bad? The Jets fight is easily the most embarrassing news of the offseason.
