IK Enemkpali draft profile said he ‘flashes shock and violence in his punch’
I.K. Enemkpali became a household name on Tuesday for all the wrong reasons. The former New York Jets linebacker was released immediately after he broke Geno Smith’s jaw in the locker room with a sucker-punch.
Shortly after the incident, Enemkpali’s draft profile from NFL.com began making the rounds on Twitter. The amount of irony it contains is incredible. For starters, the scouting report noted that the sixth-round pick “flashes shock and violence in his punch.” It also mentions how Enemkpali “keeps battling to the quarterback.”
Smith can certainly attest to both of those things, though I don’t think sucker-punching a teammate is what the draft scouts had in mind.
In case you missed it, Enemkpali also had his Wikipedia page hacked on what will likely turn out to be the most embarrassing day of his career. Don’t be surprised if he remains unemployed for a very long time.
