However, there is another angle, and that is the Jets' defense. The Jets spent a lot of money in the offseason to beef up their front seven. The unit never jelled and was exposed for not putting enough pressure on opposing QB's and running backs. The Seattle game was a prime example. The Seahawks started five offensive linemen, none of whom was a starter with the team at the beginning of the season. The Jets defense failed to stop the run and put no pressure on the QB.
