Jim Kelly’s biopsy shows no sign of cancer after scare

Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly got some great results from a biopsy scan on Thursday following another cancer scare earlier in the week.

Kelly’s wife Jill revealed that Jim was back at a hospital in New York City this week for a biopsy after his latest scans came back inconclusive. On Thursday, doctors told the Kelly family that Jim’s biopsy showed no signs of cancer.

A big thumbs up from JK! ?? And a big THANK YOU to God, the doctors and all of you who prayed for Jim today. Preliminary results from the biopsies show NO sign of cancer!! After he heard the awesome news, he said two things: "Thank God for all the prayers!" And… "I need a chocolate milkshake!" #KellyTough

Kelly was diagnosed with cancer in his upper jaw in June 2013. He underwent surgery shortly after and doctors declared him cancer-free. The cancer returned less than a year later, requiring Kelly to receive chemotherapy. Doctors again found no evidence of cancer after the treatments, so it’s great to hear that there’s no sign of the disease returning.
