The interview will air in full on “Pro Football Talk” on Wednesday at 6:30 pm ET on NBC Sports Network, and parts will play on “Today” Wednesday.
For now, NBC News has provided us with the following quotes from Martin:
“I’m a man. I’m a grown man. I’ve been in locker rooms. There’s vulgar language in locker rooms,” Martin told Dungy. “One instance doesn’t bother me,” Martin said of his former teammates’ behavior. “It’s the persistence of it. I wish I would have had more tools to solve my situation . . . but I didn’t.
“I felt trapped like I didn’t have a way to make it right. And it came down to the point where, you know, I thought it was best just to remove myself from the situation.”
We can’t fully offer our analysis of the interview since all we’re seeing is a short clip and quote from Martin, but this is enough to have us intrigued. We’ll be tuning in to hear what he said in the interview and will offer our opinion Wednesday.
