Kirk Cousins gets crazy with Washington GM after win
Kirk Cousins was all sorts of fired up after Washington’s big 42-24 win on “Sunday Night Football” over the Packers and was even seen getting crazy with his team’s GM.
Cousins threw for 375 yards and three touchdowns in what turned out to be his finest performance of the season. After the game, Cousins was caught by TV cameras yelling “how do you like me now?” at GM Scot McCloughan. Cousins yelled those words twice, slapped high-five with the GM, and then rubbed him on the head:
Cousins is known for getting wild after games (surely you’ve seen this), so this isn’t exactly new behavior for him. But his interaction with McCloughan has sparked speculation that the apparent tension in their exchange was related to the quarterback’s contract situation.
Washington gave Cousins the franchise tag over the offseason and broke off talks of an extension with the QB. Performances like the one he had against Green Bay will only enhance Cousins’ value as a QB and drive up his price, a point which he doesn’t seem shy about reminding his GM.
