Report: Marshawn Lynch hasn’t spent any of his playing money
When you hear about a professional athlete getting a multi-million dollar contract, the general reaction is that they’re set for life. In the case of Marshawn Lynch, it’s actually pretty much true.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport told 950 KJR Seattle that Lynch hasn’t spent “a dime” of his playing salary, which amounts to roughly $50 million.
According to @RapSheet, Marshawn Lynch "hasn't spent a dime of his playing money."

That means Marshawn Lynch hasn't spent a dime of the $49,703,823 (almost $50 MILLION) he has made in the NFL. https://t.co/cBL64PqsV8

Lynch apparently makes his living through his endorsement deals, which according to Forbes net him about $5 million per year. Everything he earns from his contract heads straight into his savings account. He also has his own clothing line that should keep making him some money even if he chooses to walk away from the NFL.
When you hear that, it suddenly makes a lot more sense that Lynch appears to be headed toward retirement before he even turns 30. The man is in pretty good shape financially.
