The New Orleans Saints have reportedly reached a deal with free agent linebacker Paul Kruger.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Kruger has decided to sign with the Saints after meeting with multiple teams this week.

The Saints pursued Kruger back in 2013 before he signed a five-year, $40.5 million deal with the Cleveland Browns. New Orleans head coach Sean Payton said after his team’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week that the pass rush is “very concerning,” so it’s no surprise the Saints jumped at the opportunity to sign Kruger.
Kruger, 30, recorded just 2.5 sacks last season after racking up a career-high 11 in 2014. He clearly believes he has plenty left in the tank, as evidenced by the statement he gave when the Browns released him.
