Kansas City had gone for nine yards on a first down play from their 13 with under five minutes left in the third quarter. Kelce took a shovel pass from Alex Smith and was tackled to the ground. Van Noy was laying on top of him, and Kelce responded by jamming the ball into Van Noy’s groin.
Kelce got a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct for the move. The Chiefs tight end can sometimes show a temper during games. Last year he was ejected for throwing a towel at a ref.
