Trent Richardson waived by Ravens
Trent Richardson was hoping to silence his critics by having a bounce-back season in 2016, but things are not looking good after he was waived by the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday.
The team announced the move via its official Twitter account.
Richardson had high hopes after signing with the Ravens, and the early reports seemed positive. He lost a bunch of weight during the offseason and appeared to be in much better shape, though he battled some minor injuries that forced him to miss workouts with his new team.
Richardson was taken with the No. 3 overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft, and he has easily been one of the biggest busts in league history. While he’s only 25, he has already had failed stints with three teams and is once again looking for work.
Unfortunately, that lofty goal Richardson set for himself a couple months ago is becoming more and more impossible by the day.
