Justin Rose’s shoes dedicated to his children
Justin Rose was all about the family on Sunday. Not only did he keep his deceased father in mind after winning the US Open at Merion Golf Club, Rose also showed off his shoes that were specially dedicated to his children, Leo and Lottie.
Rose’s shoes have his initials “JR” embroidered on the side, and a tag on the heel embroidered with the names of his children. Leo was born in February 2009, and Lottie was born last year.
Appearing in front of NBC’s cameras, Rose gave a special message to his children.
“Love you Leo, love you Lottie. Happy Father’s Day. Thanks for making me such a proud dad,” Rose said.
Rose was also emotional on Sunday thinking of his father, Ken, who died in 2002. His father was an instrumental figure in his golfing career, and there was special meaning for Rose to win his first major on Father’s Day.
