Braden Holtby made one of the most amazing saves in Stanley Cup playoff history on Wednesday, but the Washington Capitals goalie has no time to pat himself on the back after he single-handedly preserved a win for his team.
Holtby’s seemingly impossible paddle save came in the third period with the Capitals leading 3-2 over the Las Vegas Golden Knights. The keeper later told reporters he is focused on winning a championship, not what Twitter is saying about him.
Braden Holtby on the save heard 'round the world being heard 'round the world: "We have a goal in mind that will be a lot bigger than some save and social media."

It’s admirable of Holtby to be modest, but he deserves every bit of praise he has received. Just look at this save:

Holtby stopped 37 of 39 shots he faced to help Washington tie the series at 1-1. Even his own teammates were at a loss for words over the third period save.
