Jockey Victor Espinoza was elated and still in shock after winning the Triple Crown aboard American Pharoah on Saturday at the Belmont Stakes. NBC had a microphone on him and went live for his reaction after winning the race.
The 43-year-old jockey, who probably did not know he was on live TV, just completed the race and had a perfect reaction that was sent out over the air.
“Holy s—!” he exclaimed.
Yup, couldn’t have put it better myself. And as we have seen in great videos many times in the past, that is exactly why networks love to put mics on coaches and players.
Congrats to American Pharoah — what a horse!
