Daniel Cormier takes another shot at ‘snitch’ Jon Jones in Instagram joke
Daniel Cormier took yet another shot at Jon Jones on Instagram, continuing a long-standing beef between the two fighters.
Last week, Cormier posted on Instagram about Jones, taking a shot at his nemesis for getting off easy with USADA over his latest failed drug test. He specifically called out Jones for being a “snitch.”
“You are actually a SNITCH! You think you’re the only one that’s been offered this deal? No, you’re just the only scumbag low enough to take it! Which one of your teammates did you tell on to get this joke of a punishment from USADA! I thought there was nothing lower than a cheater but it’s not surprising that you show me a whole new level. You’re a cheater and a SNITCH! Get off my page and go do some coke, or steroids or whatever you losers do in your spare time,” Cormier wrote.
The snitch stuff is a reference to Jones receiving a relatively light penalty from USADA for testing positive for PEDs after his July 29, 2017 fight with Cormier that got overturned to a no contest. Jones received a 15-month suspension that was retroactive, making him eligible to fight beginning on Oct. 28. The reason he got a light penalty is because he provided “substantial assistance” that would help USADA catch someone else cheating.
Fast forward to last week. Sean O’Malley was set to fight at UFC 229, but he was taken off the card for failing a USADA drug test.
That led Cormier to post this meme on Monday, which makes a joke of Jones supposedly ratting out O’Malley to USADA.
These two have been feuding for years. And as this 2014 video showed us, the hatred is real.
