Dominic Thiem did a number on one of his racquets during his third-round match at the US Open on Friday.
Thiem beat Taylor Fritz in four sets 3-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-4. Early in the third set he smashed his racquet to shreds after a ball hit the net and went against him.

That’s about as thoroughly as one can destroy a racquet, so congratulations to him on that. He later apologized.

This is nothing new for Thiem, who has been featured before for his racquet smash.
