
Alex Ovechkin will throw out the first pitch prior to the Washington Nationals’ game on Saturday.
The Washington Capitals captured their first ever Stanley Cup on Thursday. With that comes the spoils of being a champion. Prior to Saturday’s game between the Nationals and San Francisco Giants, Ovechkin, the Capitals’ captain, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Ovechkin will be accompanied by his Cup-winning teammates.
All of the Capitals will be accompanying the Stanley Cup to Nationals Park tomorrow.

The next stop for Ovechkin and the Capitals will be a championship parade on Tuesday that was promised by owner Ted Leonsis to be impressive.
