Andrew Heaney goes in on Kevin Durant for choosing Golden State
The widespread public outrage over Kevin Durant’s decision to sign with the Golden State Warriors is even bleeding over into the world of baseball.
Angels pitcher Andrew Heaney slammed Durant on Twitter Monday, using some, shall we say, colorful language to express his disgust at the former MVP’s free agency choice.
.@KDTrey5 winning a title with GSW would be like losing your virginity to a hooker. Congrats! #legacy

I hope draymond welcomes him with a swift kick to the nuts. ??

The 25-year-old Heaney, who is currently recovering from Tommy John surgery, is probably rather passionate about the subject considering that he’s from Oklahoma City and attended college at Oklahoma State. Heaney even went so far as to admit his salt over Durant’s decision to leave.
Yes, I'm salty. KD was great for OKC on and off the court! The way he represented OK made me proud. I thought his decision to leave was weak

While Heaney’s bitterness seems more like a matter of local pride, it’s further evidence that, justified or not, Durant’s decision has largely villainized him in the eyes of the sporting universe, and there may be no going back now.
