Angels announce pitcher Tyler Skaggs has died at 27
The Los Angeles Angels announced on Monday that tragedy has struck the organization once again, as starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs has died at age 27.
The cause of death was not immediately known, but the Angels have postponed their scheduled Monday game against the Texas Rangers.

Losing a player at such a young age is unfathomable for any sports organization, but the Angels are all too familiar with it. They dealt with a similar situation when former pitcher Nick Adenhart and two friends were killed by a drunk driver back in 2009. Adenhart was only 22.
Skaggs pitched just two days ago against the Oakland A’s. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the Angels organization.
