
Houston Astros pitching prospect Corbin Martin has been dominant in the lower levels of the minor leagues since the team drafted him out of Texas A&M, and the right-hander has what you could call a live arm.
While training at Dynamic Sports Training in Houston this week, Martin showed off his incredible arm strength while some players were having fun with a radar gun. At one point, he threw a baseball over 111 mph.
Yes, we know Martin started with a crow hop, but that is still pretty impressive. While he’s not going to be throwing 111.6-mph fastballs by hitters in either the minors or majors, he might have a chance at topping some of the ridiculously fast pitches we have seen thrown in recent years.
Martin went 9-2 with a 2.51 ERA in the minors last season. He struck out 122 batters in 122 innings.
