Braves pitcher had hotel room burglarized, $100K of items stolen during game
Anibal Sanchez picked up a win in a solid performance against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, but things were not going so smoothly for the Atlanta Braves pitcher off the field at the time.
According to a report from TMZ, Sanchez had his hotel room near downtown Los Angeles broken into while he was on the mound. The right-hander had an estimated $100,000 worth of items stolen that included watches and other jewelry. The matter is still under investigation, and there were reportedly no signs of forced entry into the hotel room.
Unfortunately, players falling victim to burglaries during games is nothing new. Most recently, we saw an NFL star have a bunch of stuff stolen from his home while his team was away for two weeks at the Super Bowl. Hopefully Sanchez is able to recover the items he lost.
