Braves players create memorial shrine for Ronald Acuna’s broken bat
Ronald Acuna has been seeing the ball quite well over the past several games, and that theme continued for the Atlanta Braves star when he smashed a 450-foot leadoff home run against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. Unfortunately, Acuna later broke the bat that has been so good to him lately.
When Acuna, who has 12 hits in Atlanta’s past 10 games, broke his bat in the third inning, his teammates thought it would be appropriate to give the lumber a proper burial. They created this hilarious memorial for the bat in the dugout:

It’s nice to see the bat get the respect it deserves, but a wand is only as good as its magician.
Acuna is one of the best young players in baseball and has already proven himself on the biggest stage, and you can tell his teammates have a great deal of respect for him. Otherwise, his broken bat would have been tossed in the rubbish with the rest of them.
