Atlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers was bloodied after being hit in the head by a bat on a swing Wednesday night.
Pete Alonso was batting for the New York Mets in the top of the seventh inning and took a rip at an off-speed pitch. Alonso hit Flowers in the head with his bat on the follow-through of his swing.

Flowers got nailed pretty hard and was treated by a trainer. He had a cut on the left side of his forehead and the area was starting to swell up.
Despite being hit, Flowers remained in the game. He was 1-for-3 with an RBI and is batting .221 on the season. Flowers splits time at catcher with Brian McCann.
