Brewers P Zach Davies says he broke phone celebrating team’s moves
Zach Davies was so excited about a move made by his team that he will now be needing a new cell phone.
On Thursday, the Brewers acquired Christian Yelich from the Marlins in exchange for four prospects as Miami continues to tear down its roster. While the news surely made many Brewers fans happy, it was also met with joy by a member of the team’s pitching staff.
Davies was apparently so excited to find out Yelich would soon be his teammate that he broke his phone.
Welcome to the Crew @ChristianYelich! Got a little excited about the news and broke my phone… Watching Bernie slide all year will make up for it. #BrewCrew

But things didn’t end there! Milwaukee wasn’t done bolstering their outfield with the acquisition of Yelich. The Brewers also agreed to a five-year deal with Lorenzo Cain, who in 2015 finished third in the American League MVP Award voting.
Unfortunately, it sounded like Davies may not be able to get a replacement before the end of the night.
Might not have a phone by the end of the night

After finishing last season second in the NL Central, the Brewers look to be intent on improving on their 86-76 record last year. There’s certainly reason to be excited around Milwaukee, especially if they can land Yu Darvish as well.
