That’s no small feat when you consider the number of big-name players in all sports that have swapped teams in recent seasons. It appears that Harper’s jersey managed to sell more in the first 24 hours of availability, at least through Fanatics, than LeBron James’s Lakers jersey, for instance.
Harper’s signing has had some other tangible impacts on business for the Phillies. It’s safe to say that, at least in terms of off-field sales, he’s proving to be everything they’d hoped he’d be.
