Bryce Harper leaves Sunday’s game with dehydration

Bryce Harper Phillies

Philadelphia Phillies fans panicked a bit when outfielder Bryce Harper was removed from Sunday’s game after the fifth inning without explanation, but the ailment is minor.

Harper was removed from the game with dehydration, according to the team, which signifies no real concern.

Sunday’s temperature hovered around 90 degrees in Philadelphia, which was probably a factor in what happened. The Phillies don’t play again until Tuesday, so there’s no reason to believe he’ll miss any further time as a result.

Harper has been heating up lately, hitting .292 with seven home runs in his last 12 games. Maybe it’s because he’s gotten a bit of his swagger back in recent weeks.
