Watch: Bryce Harper told fan to ‘shut the f— up’ not long before walk-off homer
Philadelphia Phillies fans have been frustrated with Bryce Harper this season, but the slugger made them forget about that when he launched a walk-off grand slam on Thursday night. The exchange Harper had with a heckler behind the dugout not long before belting the homer had to have made it feel even better.
After Harper grounded out with the Phillies trailing the Chicago Cubs 5-0 in the eighth inning, a fan sitting behind the home dugout shouted “$330 million, 0-for-3” at him. Rather than ignore it, Harper told the fan to “shut the f— up.”

At the time, it looked like that might be Harper’s last at-bat of yet another disappointing night. But the Phillies rallied back, and Harper had his best moment of the season with a walk-off grand slam the following inning.
Harper is hitting just .253 this season and has not lived up to expectations, so being able to silence one of his critics had to have felt great. He recently stuck it to a fan on the road after belting a home run, and you know he feeds off of being doubted. Fans in Philly might want to keep that in mind as the team makes a playoff push.
