Chase Utley won’t serve any further time for his leg-breaking takeout slide of Ruben Tejada during 2015’s postseason, according to a report.
According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, Utley won’t be forced to serve the remaining two games on the suspension that was handed down last October.
According to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, the league and the players’ union came to an agreement to rescind the ban.

Utley suspension rescinded by agreement of MLB, union. Word is, MLB agreed there were many others who made similar plays.

Utley’s NLDS slide would be illegal now under MLB’s new rules, but at the time there was nothing explicitly forbidding it. As you might recall, the Mets were furious over it, and while they were publicly conciliatory when they heard this news, they weren’t pleased overall.
Mets were privately a little more upset/disappointed than the public comments.

In case you were wondering, the Dodgers first face the Mets during the second week of May. There could be some lingering resentment.
