Child hit by Albert Almora foul ball reportedly expected to be OK
A young child who was hit by an Albert Almora foul ball during Wednesday’s Houston Astros-Chicago Cubs game is reportedly expected to be OK.
Almora was batting in the top of the fourth inning at Minute Maid Park and pulled a foul ball that hit a young fan. Almora saw what happened and immediately was shaken. The young child was rushed up the aisle for examination and was taken away in an ambulance.
SportsTalk 790 in Houston later reported that the child was taken to a local hospital for precautionary reasons and was expected to be OK.

The news will come as a huge relief to Almora and anyone watching. Almora struck out in his at-bat and was emotional after receiving an update from a security guard, even crying on her shoulder.
