If the Atlanta Braves trade for a starter, they may reportedly go shopping for one particular Tampa Bay Ray.
Rays starter Chris Archer is the most likely trade target, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, but Tampa Bay’s asking price is too high for Atlanta’s liking at the moment.
If the Braves are going to trade for a top SP, Archer is the most likely. But for now, the Rays' ask far exceeds the Braves' comfort zone.

We’d heard that the Braves had their sights set on other, arguably bigger prizes. Archer is coming off a down year, but it doesn’t sound like the Rays are selling low. Plus, with the lack of free agent starting pitching available, asking prices will probably stay high. Expect things to move slowly on that front unless someone gives in to someone else’s significant demands.
