Chris Sale hospitalized with stomach illness
Chris Sale was not at Fenway Park on Sunday night during Game 2 of the ALCS because he was hospitalized after feeling sick.
The Boston Red Sox said that their ace was at Massachusetts General Hospital for observation after reporting a stomach illness.
#RedSox LHP Chris Sale reported a stomach illness today and was admitted to MGH for observation this afternoon. He will be kept overnight for evaluation and any further updates will be released when available.

Sale being kept at the hospital overnight means he will not travel with the team to Houston on Monday.

Sale started in Game 1 of the series on Saturday. He allowed two runs over four innings and left trailing 2-0. Boston lost the game 7-2.
Boston and Houston will have Monday off before the series resumes with Game 3 on Tuesday.
