Christian Yelich posts on Instagram, tells fans ‘we’ll be back’

Christian Yelich’s season came to an end on Saturday night, but the Milwaukee Brewers star had some reassuring words for the team’s fans.

Yelich posted on Instagram Sunday to thank Brewers fans for their “unbelievable” support. He also promised that the Brewers would “be back.”

It didn’t end how we all would have liked but there’s still a lot to be proud of this year from this group. Hats off to the fans you were unbelievable all year. We’ll be back.

Milwaukee went 86-76 last season and then added several upgrades before and during the season, such as Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, Mike Moustakas and Jonathan Schoop. It all paid off as the team won the NL Central with a 96-67 record and came a win away from reaching the World Series.

Yelich will probably take home the NL MVP award after the season ends. He batted .326 with 34 doubles, 36 homers, a 1.000 OPS and helped carry the team to the division title with a hot final month of the season.
