Christian Yelich is getting a cool honor in Milwaukee ahead of the NL MVP announcement.
The County Transit System in Milwaukee is renaming bus route 22 the “Yelich Line” over the next week in honor of the Brewers star, who wears jersey No. 22.
The change, which was shared by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, will begin on Thursday and last through the NL MVP announcement on Nov. 15.
“Buses on the route will show ‘Yelich Line’ on the front display leading up to the MVP announcement,” MCTS said in a press release.
Yelich is widely expected to win the NL MVP award. He batted .326 with 36 home runs and 110 RBIs while leading the Brewers to the NL Central title in his first season with the team.
