Clayton Kershaw on Wednesday reached a significant career milestone, and his family had a great reaction to it.

Kershaw struck out three Chicago White Sox players over six innings while taking a no-decision in his Los Angeles Dodgers’ 5-4 win at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif., on Wednesday. The three strikeouts gave Kershaw 3,000 for his career, making him just the 20th player ever to reach that mark.

Kershaw’s wife Ellen and three children were in attendance for the moment and celebrated with a great reaction. The Dodgers shared a video to social media of the family’s reaction.

That moment meant a ton to the family.

The 3,000 strikeouts add to what has been an incredible career for the Dodgers southpaw. Kershaw has won three Cy Young Awards, five ERA titles, made 10 All-Star teams, and one NL MVP award. He has also won two World Series.

Only 20 pitchers in MLB history have reached 3,000 strikeouts, and Kershaw is just the fourth lefty to do it.

“It was an amazing night,” Kershaw said after the game.

His family definitely agrees.
