Watch: Clint Frazier turns fly ball into triple with misplay in outfield

Clint Frazier’s offensive abilities have long been a strong point to his game, but his defense has been a weakness. That issue was on display Friday night.
During the top of the second inning of the New York Yankees’ game against the Toronto Blue Jays, Frazier misplayed a fly ball by Teoscar Hernandez to right field, giving Hernandez a triple.

Justin Smoak flied out to end the inning on the next at-bat, so the misplay didn’t cost the Yankees a run. Still, it’s a bad sign for a guy who had highly-publicized fielding problems earlier this season.
Frazier, 25, is able to keep a spot in the lineup thanks to his bat. He’s hitting .269 with 12 home runs and 37 RBIs in 62 games this season.
