Corey Seager to undergo season-ending elbow surgery
The Los Angeles Dodgers got some awful news Monday that will have a major impact on the rest of their season.
Star shortstop Corey Seager will miss the remainder of the 2018 season after being diagnosed with a sprained UCL in his right elbow. This will require season-ending Tommy John surgery.

Seager’s elbow issues date back to the end of last season, though obviously not on this level. The only good news for the Dodgers is he missed most of the 2017 postseason with back issues and they still made the World Series without him, but weathering an entire season without one of the game’s brightest young stars is an entirely different proposition.
Seager just turned 24 on Friday. He’s a career .302 hitter and hit 22 home runs last season.
