There is some belief that the Chicago Cubs may have the inside track on signing free agent pitcher Yu Darvish.
According to some rival executives, the Cubs may be the front-runner to land Darvish, who according to ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick is beginning to cut down his list of potential landing spots.
Not sure how close Yu Darvish is to a decision, but the field appears to be narrowing. Some execs think #Cubs are still the frontrunner. The rest of the starting market is waiting for him to make a call.

Reports indicate Darvish has at least one five-year offer on the table, though it remains unclear who it’s from. The signs are that a decision is coming fairly soon, which may move the starting pitching market along a little bit.
