The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-0 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Ariz., on Thursday to clinch the National League West division for the fourth straight season. Manager Dave Roberts got fired up during his speech to the team upon victory.
Roberts, who is in his 10th season as the Dodgers’ manager, spoke to the Dodgers in their locker room after the game. Spectrum SportsNet was broadcasting the speech live and caught Roberts dropping his F-bomb.
“Let’s have fun. Let’s enjoy today because you guys deserve it. But don’t lose that edge. Keep that f—ing edge for five more weeks,” Roberts said (censored by LBS).

Perfect words to hear before popping the champagne and getting ready for an October run.

That was a great message to his team.
The Dodgers have now won the NL West in 12 of the last 13 years. Even the year they didn’t win the division, they went 106-56 but finished second to the Giants in 2021. The team is continuing its excellent streak and lookin to defend their World Series title. They will have Dave Roberts pushing them to keep their edge.
