David Ortiz reportedly released from hospital seven weeks after shooting
Just shy of two months after being shot in the Dominican Republic, David Ortiz is reportedly out of the hospital.
According to ESPN’s Marly Rivera, Ortiz was released on Friday to the care of his family at home. There, he will be monitored by nurses and receive regular visits from his personal physician as he continues his recovery from a June 9 shooting.

This is great news, especially after the last thing we heard about was some complications in Ortiz’s recovery. All indications are that the prognosis remains good and Ortiz is expected to recover after the frightening shooting. This is just the latest positive step in that direction.
