David Price lands on IL with elbow tendinitis
The Boston Red Sox have been playing better lately, but they still can’t dodge the latest bad luck with regard to injuries.
Pitcher David Price has been placed on the IL with left elbow tendinitis, retroactive to May 3.
Red Sox place David Price on injured list with left elbow tendinitis and call up Ryan Weber (adding him to 40-man).

Price had a 3.75 ERA in six starts for the Red Sox this season, posting a 1-2 record.
It’s not clear yet how long the Red Sox believe Price will be out, but it’s never an ideal situation when the pitching elbow is experiencing pain. It’s not the first pitcher they’ve experienced this problem with this season, either. Price’s injury doesn’t sound extremely serious, but it bears watching going forward.
