According to Red Sox manager Alex Cora, Price was diagnosed with a mild case of carpal tunnel syndrome, and he could still make his next start after being scratched from his scheduled start on Wednesday.
On @DaleKeefeWEEI, Alex Cora says David Price has a mild case of carpal tunnel syndrome. He will throw bullpen tomorrow and then team will decide what to do next, which could be making his next start.

Price suffered the same issue in an April start that led to him leaving a start early, and now the problem has flared up again. In four starts since his early departure, he has a 6.95 ERA, so it could be behind his recent struggles. Now, at least, the Red Sox seem to know what the issue is, and will proceed accordingly.
